Therapeutic/Restorative Yoga

A simple definition of hatha yoga is to "yoke" or unite the body and mind though awareness, physical and conscious. Yoga is a metaphor for all of life, noticing the unifying principals in moving though every day.

Enjoy a profoundly relaxing sequence of restful, nourishing postures, breathing techniques, simple meditations and guided imagery.

Restorative Yoga is a very gentle style of yoga that is most prescribed by physicians and alternative health care providers, as it is deeply healing and regenerative.

This gentle and relaxing practice provides an effective way to manage the effects of stress, relieve pain of chronic injuries, and maintain health and peace of mind.

Various props, music and readings are used to assist in renewing body, mind and spirit. Good for all levels of practice!

At the heart of yoga, I see the possibility of restoring connections.
A way to tune in to look, listen and feel with the "conscious witness" or inner observer.

I experience yoga as natural movement. We humans are perpetually moving much like your family pet. Watch them as they perpetually move and stretch even while resting or sleeping and regard yourself throughout the day.

I know I will probably be practicing Yoga for the duration of my life.
I practice yoga as I practice hellerwork. This is my life's work, an opportunity to continue to improve my experience of living and living in every moment and sharing this with others.

You will restore your body's natural physical balance, postural alignment, and--relax.

Ideal for pregnancy, recovering from injury, any one new to yoga or seeking a new system for exercising the body and mind. This is self-administered bodywork that gently releases constricted connective tissue for better alignment of your bones within the line of gravity.


Yoga'lates

Move with fluidity and ease with a yoga practice that is designed to teach you to work with gravity efficiently extending your field of awareness, alert in stillness and movement. Strengthen back and core muscles and extend your field of awareness and movement that helps restore the natural curves in your spine.

Standing easily and sitting comfortably, yoga'lates combines basic principles of yoga and pilates which will help you enjoy moving your body with freedom.
Self-expressive movements are enjoyed through organic movement incorporating belly dance.
You will open your heart, liberate your spine and free your pelvis as you enjoy belly dancing at your level.
