Hellerwork is a powerful system of somatic education
and structural bodywork which is based on the inseparability of body,
mind, and spirit. Hellerwork makes the connection between movement
and the body alignment, and restores the body's natural balance from
the inside out.
Estie
participated in the Dublin Marathon last year, supporting the work
of the Arthritis Foundation. In her training she served her South
Bay team with pre and post workout stretches and offered "Yoga for
Athletes" workshops in preparation for the big event, Oct. 29, 2001.
She effectively raised over $4200 in support of the Arthritis Foundation.
As the billboards advertising the 26.2 mile event in Dublin, Ireland
said, "Marathoners have one less thing to do in life."
Estie now devotes her time and energy to staying healthy and helping
others to do the same through fitness conditioning including Aquatic
Fitness, Hellerwork Structural bodywork,Yoga, and Pilates.
Arthritis is a condition that includes more than 100 different diseases
that cause pain, loss of movement and sometimes swelling around joints.
Arthritis affects people of all age groups, including as many as 285,000
children. Every year, millions of Americans are newly diagnosed with
one of the many forms of arthritis. Statistics point to 1 in 6 people
will be affected by this disease by 2050.
